20 staff from RHCV attended the annual Commercial Vehicle Awards, which took place at The Vox Centre in Birmingham. Celebrating the best in new and used commercial vehicle sales and aftersales, the event saw 400 people and more than 30 dealers pack out the centre last Thursday (16th November 2018).

Based in Nottingham, Reynolds employs 140 staff and has been providing recruitment, logistics and training solutions to blue chip organisations and SMEs across the UK and Europe, for more than 30 years.

Purchasing 16 brand-new trucks to meet increased customer demand, Reynolds was keen to improve welfare and facilities for its staff during long-haul journeys as part of the investment.

The state-of-the-art 6×2 mid lift trucks provided a larger, more comfortable space for the driver as well as modern facilities such as duro bright alloy wheels, including tyre pressure monitors, adaptive cruise control, heated leather seat trim, air suspended cab and FORS Silver – a left turn warning for cyclists.

Reynolds purchased the trucks from East Midlands Renault trucks dealer, RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV), of which they have worked closely with for more than three years. Expanding the fleet to 67, Reynolds has always favoured the comfort and reliability of Renault Trucks, with a third of its fleet now being Renault.

Ros Harris, Director at Reynolds Recruitment, said: “Having acquired a significant new customer, we needed to invest in a number of new trucks to meet this demand but we were also aware that the welfare of our drivers was just as important, so we wanted more comfortable and modern facilities.

“RHCV has always been considered an extension of our team, showing both excitement and support when we see excellent business success. The team listened closely to our needs and the requirements of our drivers on long-haul journeys. The new trucks we purchased from them ticked all our boxes, and look fantastic when out on road.”

The deal with Reynolds Recruitment follows a successful year for RHCV. As well as winning a hat-trick of awards including Dealer of the Year at the annual Renault Trucks Dealer Awards for a second year running, RHCV expanded its business along the M1 corridor, acquiring a fourth site in Northampton.

Paul Pearson, Commercial Director at RHCV said: “Over the past three years, we have been delighted to build such a fantastic relationship with Reynolds Recruitment, working closely with the team, to enable growth.

“The T Range is ideal for improving the welfare of drivers and through providing these trucks to Reynolds, the business can ensure their staff are happy and satisfied on longer journeys. We look forward to working with them again in the future.”
