23rd April marked the fifth anniversary of RH Commercial Vehicles’ acquisition of their Northampton dealership from Renault Trucks Commercials. The acquisition was part of the business’ continuing strategy to expand its offering across the East Midlands and become the leading Renault Trucks Dealer in the UK.

The depot is located in Kislingbury, Northampton on Junction 16 of the M1. It is one of six sites that are strategically placed covering the M1 and A1.

To further develop new customer opportunities, RHCV partnered with Isuzu Truck UK, with Northampton as the base to compliment the Renault Trucks range. This allowed RHCV to offer commercial vehicle solutions from 3.5 to 44 tonnes.

In 2022, the depot began its extensive refurbishment which will see a brand new 7-bay workshop and a brand-new state-of-the-art parts department.

The depot also won the Renault Trucks Service Market Dealer of the Year award in September. The award recognises outstanding customer service, parts sales development and the Driving Quality Programme (DQP) measurement. The DQP is the league table for Renault Trucks UK where the performance and standards in each dealer’s aftermarket are measured. The programme aims to ensure the best customer service is always given and that customer and employee facilities are continually maintained and improved.

Tom Judd, Dealer Point Manager since 2020, said, “It’s been great to see the Northampton depot develop over the years.

“I am very proud of the team who has made it one of the top performing depots in the business and Renault Trucks network.”

Nigel Baxter, Managing Director of RHCV, “We acquired the Northampton depot to put us in a stronger position to grow our market share across the region. We have achieved this and more.

“I am very proud of the hard work and dedication that the team has displayed over the five years and look forward to seeing this success grow in the future.”
