    RH Rentals, the specialist rentals offer from East Midlands company RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV), has invested £800,000 in ten new Renault T Range trucks at a time of rapid expansion for the business.

    RH Rentals is expanding its offer and fleet with the purchase of the ten new top of the range trucks. With more vehicles planned for later in the year, the business will see its fleet grow almost 25 per cent in total by the end of the year.

    The commercial vehicle rental sector is enjoying a buoyant time with many firms choosing the flexible option of renting or leasing trucks and commercial vehicles.

    Robert Pick, Financial Director at RH Commercial Vehicles, comments:

    “It’s a really exciting time for the business and indeed the rental market. We started the year with significant enquiries, which has now delivered record orders post-Brexit and we will be continuing our plans for expansion in both the fleet and division.

    “We have a range of business to business customers across the East Midlands working in a variety of different sectors from printers to food manufacturers for whom contract hire offers a flexible option for getting their good and services from A to B. We may have a regional customer base, but we have a national reach.”

    Nottinghamshire based Reynolds has invested over £800,000 in 10 new T Range Renault Trucks with East Midlands Renault Trucks distributor RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV).

    The 10 top of the range trucks, increase the fleet by almost 50 per cent, fuelling sustained growth and expansion within the business. Responding to increased demand from its customers, Reynolds invested in the trucks to provide transport and delivery services across a wide range of sectors.
    With 130 staff and a fleet of 32 trucks, the company has enjoyed rapid expansion in recent years with its logistics division, taking on larger contracts and new clients, leading to the purchase of the vehicles.

    The 30 year old firm provides logistics services to a wide range of clients across the East Midlands, including large blue chip organisations and SMEs in a variety of business sectors.

    Speaking about the company’s hunger for growth, Reynolds Director Rod Harris, commented: “This latest investment in our fleet has allowed us to grow organically with the increased demand from our customers. RH Rentals and RH Commercial Vehicles always go above and beyond to support Reynolds and working with them has given us increased flexibility to take on extra vehicles at a time when we most needed them, it is a partnership that has allowed us to expand our fleet.”

  3. Rentals Investment for RH

    As the market for rental and lease vehicles grows East Midlands RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV) has boosted its rentals division RH Rentals, investing £6.4m to expand its offer and team.

    The commercial vehicle rental sector is enjoying a buoyant time with many firms choosing to rent or lease trucks and commercial vehicles to avoid large capital investment.

    RHCV is one of the largest commercial vehicle dealers in the East Midlands, employing 70 staff at sites on Lenton Lane in Nottingham, Cossington (near Leicester) and Alfreton (Derbushire).  RHCV specialises in sales, parts and servicing for heavy and light commercial vehicles and is an authorised selling agent for Renault Trucks as well as all-makes parts and servicing for commercial vehicles.

    As part of RHCV’s investment in RH Rentals two new members of staff just been appointed, both bringing with them a wealth of expertise in truck and trailer rental.

    RH Rentals offers a range of flexible options for SMEs across the East Midlands. Its tailored services includes contract hire, fleet management, and truck and trailer rental and contract maintenance.

    Robert Pick joins RHCV in the new position of Financial Director.  Previously the Financial Director at Charthire, the Tollerton based national commercial vehicle rental business which was acquired by TOM Vehicle Rental last year. Robert brings a vast amount of specialist experience in particular in the financial options for businesses looking at contract hire and truck and trailer rental.

    As well as having spent nearly three years at Charthire, Robert also has over 20 years of experience in the financial sector as Corporate Director with Barclays Bank locally and NatWest in Sheffield.


    Robert is joined by Dan Stevenson, previously part of the RHCV team has rejoined from local rentals firm Prohire. Bringing 25 year experience to the new role of Rentals Manager, Dan is responsible for managing RH Rentals growing fleet of vehicles.

    Nigel Baxter, Managing Director at RHCV added; “We are already seeing an upshift in interest in business owners across the region looking at flexible approaches to acquiring new commercial vehicles.

    “We’re delighted that Robert and Dan have joined the team, it is a huge boost to RH Rentals, giving us even more expertise at a time of growth in this sector.  Their appointment and the investment in new vehicles to boost our fleet, reflects the growth in the UK commercial vehicles rentals sector which is expected to grow, with the leasing market worth of £2billion.
