RHCV General Manager 'the type of man you would buy a vacuum cleaner from'
This month's edition of 'Truck & Driver' was full of praise for RHCV, and especially our General Manager, Paul Pearson. The magazine - which was spectacularly shot in 3D - ran a special feature about how good the levels of customer service are at RHCV, largely thanks to the management team. An RHCV customer said of Paul Pearson 'If he turned up at my door with a vacuum cleaner, I would buy it'..

RHCV Clean Up in Renault Trucks Award Ceremony
Renault Trucks UK Ltd has recognised the top achievers in its Advanced Apprentice Options Programme at its Apprentice of the Year awards and graduation ceremony, where RHCV had an impressive year, with three of our apprentices leaving with top awards.
The winner of this year’s ‘Apprentice of the year’ for second year apprentices was RHCV’s Daniel Willis. Daniel is no stranger to winning the award, as he also won last year’s ‘year one’ award. Well done Daniel.

Also among the top achievers were RHCV’s Anthony Jackson – who won 2nd place for the ‘3rd year’ category, and Edward Rollinson, who was awarded 2nd place among the 1st years.
“It’s important to recognise the commitment and performance of our apprentices,” comments Brian Burns, Training Manager at Renault Trucks UK Ltd. “These young men have worked hard to improve their skills, both on the job at the dealerships that employ them, and in the classrooms and technical workshops during their block release sessions.
They have all shown substantial commitment to the programme and are actively involved in providing high levels of service to our customers across the UK.”
“Our apprentice technician training programme has been carefully constructed with the RAC to ensure each apprentice has the opportunity to fully develop his skills and expertise in the service and maintenance of the Renault Trucks product,” explains Brian. “We have deliberately woven some of our technical courses that are available to more experienced technicians into the apprentice programme, to really accelerate their learning. Successful apprentices can continue to develop their education through our additional technical training programmes and could achieve ‘master technician’ level within six years."
He concludes, “We are very proud of our apprentices and our training programme which, we believe is one of the best in the industry, in terms of apprentice retention and achievement. It is a real pleasure to be able to recognise the success of these youngsters at events such as the awards ceremony.”
RHCV provide 'all inclusive package' for steeplejack firm

Steeple-jacking is the skilful and essential craft of repairing and maintaining buildings, and Local steeplejack experts Horizon Specialist Contracting Ltd are the latest company to choose RHCV to be the ones to repair and maintain their fleet of new vans.
In fact, the contract with Horizon – made with RH Rentals over 3 years, is what we call an ‘all inclusive’ package, a popular product and service combination that takes the stress out of running a fleet of vans for a fixed monthly cost.
‘Horizon were really impressed with the whole package’ says Carl Hunt, Sales Executive at RHCV. ‘They took pretty much everything we have to offer on the contract hire side of the business. For the next 3 years we will deal with all repairs, maintenance, MOTs, and tax on the vans. And they can budget easily as the price is fixed every month. The only thing not included is the diesel!’
Horizon also took advantage of the demonstrator van – testing the product for 10 days, free of charge, before deciding to rent it long term. Then once the hire was confirmed, RHCV altered the vans to their specification, arranging for the logos to be put on the vehicles, ply-lining the back to prevent damage, and installing roof racks.
‘They were so happy with the final outcome of the hire that they also decided to buy one van outright, which we also customised to meet their needs.’
